Procedure:

The procedure for the stallion auction is really very simple...

1. Contact the owner of the stallion that you are interested in and ask any questions that you might have about the horse. Be sure to inquire about type of breeding offered and collection costs.

2. Ask if your mare meets with the stallion owners approval. Understandably, the stallion owner reserves the right to approve of any mare that will be bred to their stallion.

3. If you have any questions about the registration possibilities of your future foal please contact the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association at www.gcdha.com

4. Place your bid for the stallion of your choice. The bid for each stallion is 50% of their normal breeding fee. Mare owners are responsible for collection and shipping costs.

5. Once a mare has been approved and a bid accepted, the stallion will be marked as "sold."

6. At the end of the auction, the mare owner and the stallion owner will enter into the owner's standard breeding contract, and all future contact will be between those two parties.

7. If for any reason you must retract your bid for a stallion, notify the auction staff immediately.

8. All proceeds of this auction will go to support the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association.
